Rochdale AFC Colour Dash brings crowds together for community event

Hundreds of people took part in the Rochdale AFC Colour Dash, with families and supporters coming together for a day of colour, activity and community spirit. The event took place near the Crown Oil Arena ahead of the club’s fixture against Wealdstone.

The Rochdale AFC Colour Dash saw participants of all ages gather in large numbers to run, walk and celebrate through a course filled with colour stations, obstacles and entertainment in Denehurst Park.

Organised by Rochdale AFC Community Trust, the event attracted families, supporters and local groups, with many taking part in teams. The atmosphere throughout the day was lively, with what organisers described as strong community engagement and a high turnout.

This year’s event was supported by headline sponsor TIC Health, which contributed to enhanced elements on the day including commemorative t shirts, finisher medals and expanded course features.

Ryan Bradley, Community Director at Rochdale AFC Community Trust, said:

"The response from Rochdale AFC supporters and the local community groups has been incredible. We’ve seen a real buzz around the Colour Dash, with people signing up as teams and getting behind the social element. With the support of TIC Health, we’ve been able to reinvest into the experience and make it bigger and better than ever."

The Colour Dash was designed to be inclusive and accessible, welcoming both experienced runners and those taking part for fun. Organisers said the event delivered a positive experience for participants, with many leaving covered in colour and taking part in activities throughout the day.

Funds raised through sponsorship will go towards supporting the work of Rochdale AFC Community Trust in the local area.
