The Met announces packed autumn programme featuring Shaun Ryder and John Bramwell

On Weds 9 Bury’s vinyl record shop Wax and Beans welcome them to Bury for an album launch show.

The Met in Bury has unveiled its autumn music programme, with a line up featuring established names from rock and pop alongside emerging artists from Greater Manchester and beyond.

The new season includes performances from former I Am Kloot frontman John Bramwell, Happy Mondays and Black Grape singer Shaun Ryder, The Manfreds, China Crisis, Focus and the Von Hertzen Brothers.

John Bramwell will perform on Wednesday 16 September, followed by Shaun Ryder's spoken word tour on Wednesday 7 October.

The Manfreds will take to the stage on Thursday 8 October, while South Carolina singer songwriter Hannah Wicklund is due to perform on Saturday 17 October.

China Crisis will visit Bury on Friday 30 October as part of their Warped 2026 Tour, with Finnish progressive rock band the Von Hertzen Brothers performing the following day.

Progressive rock group Focus will return to The Met on Thursday 26 November following a world tour and the release of their latest album, Focus 12.

The venue's Emerging Showcase series will also continue throughout the autumn, highlighting new artists including AtticOmatic and Cottons on 16 October, MORA and The Fabulous Wonderfuls, Bad Penny and Mission Nowhere on 27 November, and Ellen Beth Abdi with Janileigh Cohen on 17 December.

The Met has also announced appearances by Bury musician Danny Darlington, The Forcefields, Harry Hudson Taylor and former Seahorses frontman Chris Helm as part of its wider autumn programme.
