Bolton Cancer Voices is inviting new members to join the choir following two recent performances and the appointment of a new musical director.
The group is open to anyone who has received a cancer diagnosis at any stage of their life.
The choir is looking to grow its membership ahead of its festive programme after performing at its 14th birthday concert, Songs & Sax, and at Adlington Carnival.
Bolton Cancer Voices has also welcomed Philip O'Connor as its new musical director. He joins accompanist Stephen Martin as the choir prepares for its next programme of performances.
The choir currently has around 40 members and meets every Monday from 7.30pm to 9pm in Bolton town centre.
Membership is free and there are no auditions. The choir welcomes both experienced singers and complete beginners, with no requirement to read music.
Anyone who has received a cancer diagnosis, regardless of when they were diagnosed or where they live, is eligible to join.
Organisers say singing in a group can bring health and wellbeing benefits while also giving members the opportunity to meet others who have shared similar experiences in a supportive environment.
