People travelling to Parklife 2026 are being urged to check updated transport arrangements after organisers confirmed changes to pick up and drop off locations around Heaton Park.
Festivalgoers are being advised to check the latest information before setting off and use the official Parklife website for updates.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to head to Heaton Park for the festival, with transport arrangements and traffic restrictions expected to affect surrounding areas.
One of the biggest changes this year affects collections after the event. Sainsbury's on Heaton Park Road is no longer being used as a designated pick up and drop off location. Organisers are now advising people to arrange collections at least one kilometre away from the site because of road closures and heavy congestion around the festival area. A recommended collection area is around M25 0EG.
Updated transport information includes the following.
- Big Green Coach returns as the official travel partner with day return coaches operating direct to the festival gates
- Pick up locations include Blackburn, Blackpool, Bradford, Leeds, Liverpool, Preston, Sheffield, Stoke on Trent, Wigan, York, Birmingham and London Victoria among others
- Parklife Travel Pass tickets can be used on Bee Network buses, trams and the dedicated Parklife shuttle service
- Shuttle buses into the festival will depart from Minshull Street in Manchester city centre
- On Saturday the first shuttle departs at 10.30am and the last departs at 4.30pm
- On Sunday the first shuttle departs at 11.30am and the last departs at 4.30pm
- Organisers expect the busiest periods for bus queues to be between 1pm and 3pm
- Trams will run regularly from Manchester Victoria to Heaton Park during the day
- Heaton Park tram stop will close from 9pm and people leaving the festival should use Bowker Vale for return journeys
Speaking to the Parklife team, they are encouraging people to plan ahead and check the official Parklife website before travelling as transport arrangements may change closer to the event.
