Greater Manchester Police has warned football supporters not to get behind the wheel if they could still be over the drink drive limit following England's match.
Officers will carry out roadside drink and drug driving checks across Greater Manchester on Sunday morning as part of efforts to keep roads safe.
Greater Manchester Police said policing around the match will be carried out in the same way as any other busy Saturday night, with plans in place to help keep people safe.
The force said some supporters may continue celebrating into the early hours after the evening kick off and reminded motorists that alcohol can remain in the body longer than many people expect.
Drivers have been warned that even if they feel fit to drive the following morning, they could still be over the legal limit.
Roadside drink and drug driving checks will take place across Greater Manchester on Sunday morning as officers target anyone driving while impaired.
Greater Manchester Police said only a small number of incidents had been recorded at licensed premises during England's previous four matches in the tournament, describing that as an encouraging sign that the vast majority of supporters had celebrated responsibly.
The force urged people to enjoy the occasion responsibly, look after friends and help ensure everyone can celebrate safely.
