Greater Manchester Police are currently investigating reports of a rape of a young female child next to Morrison's supermarket in Rochdale.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed this afternoon that local officers were called at 18:00 hours on Saturday night (10th February) to reports of a rape in the area. Four boys aged 12, 13, 14, 14 have been arrested on suspicion of rape and remain in police custody.
A spokesperson for GMP has confirmed that the alleged victim is a female child.
The victim is currently being supported by specialist officers.
A scene remains in place as officers continue their investigation.
