A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of attempted rape following two incidents in Rochdale earlier today.
Greater Manchester Police this evening, Saturday 25 July, said the two women involved are being supported by specialist officers.
The arrest follows two incidents reported to police this morning.
Officers were first called at 6.15am following a report that a woman had been sexually assaulted in Broadfield Park by a man unknown to her.
A second report was made at 8.38am after a woman reported being sexually assaulted in Milnrow Memorial Park. She also said she had been attacked by a man she did not know.
Greater Manchester Police said a man in his 20s has now been arrested on suspicion of two counts of attempted rape.
He remains in police custody for questioning while enquiries continue.
The two women are being supported by specialist officers.
