Bury Adult Learning Service is inviting residents from across the Borough to attend its annual Open Day on Saturday 5th September, from 10.30am to 2.30pm
Visitors will be able to explore the wide range of courses on offer, meet tutors and staff, take part in free taster sessions, pick up a copy of the latest course guide, and visit the Annual Exhibition, showcasing learner work, including upholstery, dressmaking, and creative textiles.
Taking place at Bury Adult Learning Centre from 10.30am to 2.30pm, the event will highlight how adult learning can help people develop new skills, improve wellbeing, enhance employment prospects, and connect with others in their local area.
One of the success stories from last year's Open Day is now a member of the Bury Adult Learning team. After attending the event and enrolling on the ICDL Level 2 IT course, she developed her digital skills, and subsequently secured employment with the service, where she now works as part of the administration team.
