DJ and producer Marlon Hoffstadt has cancelled his planned Parklife appearance after being advised by doctors not to travel following surgery.
The German artist was due to perform at Manchester's Heaton Park festival this weekend.
Marlon Hoffstadt, who also performs under the name DJ Daddy Trance, announced on social media that he would no longer appear at Parklife or at Fete de la Musique in Paris due to health reasons.
The artist shared an image from a hospital bed and told followers he was "not fit to fly" after recently undergoing surgery.
In a statement posted online, Hoffstadt said: "Paris & Parklife, I'm so sad to have to share this, but unfortunately I won't be able to play Parklife and Fete de la Musique in Paris this weekend.
"I recently has a surgery and following my doctor's advice I'm currently not fit to fly and need rest and recover. I know many of you made plans and were looking forward to it, and I'm so sorry to let you down.
"As much as I hate missing shows, I need to put my recovery first so I can get back to doing what I love as soon as possible."
Hoffstadt had been scheduled to perform on the Matinee stage on Saturday evening before fellow DJ Morgan Seatree.
The performer later told fans that he and his team were exploring options to return to both Manchester and Paris at a future date.
He wrote: "I promise we'll do everything we can to make it happen. Thank you for all your love, support and understanding. I'll be back very soon."
Parklife takes place at Heaton Park on 20 and 21 June, with Calvin Harris, Skepta, Zara Larsson and Sammy Virji among the headline acts across the weekend.
