Thornham’s total was built around a strong unbeaten innings from A Afzaal, who accelerated late in the innings and helped push the home side beyond 200.

C Heywood made 24 from 47 balls, while S Holdaway added 22 from 88 balls.

Westleigh struggled in reply as Thornham’s bowlers kept control throughout the chase.

C Samarasekara and J Entwistle made early inroads, with Westleigh losing regular wickets and failing to build a substantial partnership.

The result gave Thornham six points, while Westleigh left with none.
