Manchester's biggest music festival returns this weekend

Manchester’s biggest festival, Parklife, returns this weekend. Tyler the Creator, Chase and Status and 50 Cent are among the names confirmed to headline the beloved event.

This weekend marks the 12th year of Manchester’s well-loved and celebrated Parklife and the line-up Is just as special than ever. 

Running across the 11th to 12th of June at its home of Heaton Park, come rain or shine, thousands will meet to have a boogie at all 7 of the festival’s stages. 

Here are 10 headliners to keep up with during this unmissable weekend: 

Saturday Headliners

50 Cent (The Parklife Stage 9:50pm- 10:50pm) – The well-loved and celebrated 50 Cent will be is set to make his only UK festival appearance of 2022 at this year’s Parklife event so make sure you don’t miss this special set!

Loyle Carner (The Parklife Stage 8:35pm – 9:20pm) – This isn’t Loyle Carner’s first rodeo at the festival, but the London rapper will certainly be unmissable in his first headliner at The Parklife main stage.

Chase and Status (The Valley 9:30pm – 11:00pm) – The lads of Chase and Status (Saul Milton, Will Kennard and Andy Gangadeen) are set to make their live return this year, bringing their largest festival show yet to this summer's Parklife.

Jamie XX (The Hangar 9:15pm – 11:00pm) – with 2,651,511 monthly listeners, resident Parklife performer Jamie XX will not be one to miss at The Hangar this Saturday.

Sonny Fodera (The Temple 9:30pm – 11:00pm) – Playing at the people’s favourite temple, Sonny Fodera’s got all your dance tunes ready and waiting.

Sunday Headliners

Tyler The Creator (The Parklife Stage 9:45pm – 11:00pm) – This set marks a special moment for Tyler, the Creator, in his first UK festival appearance after being banned from the UK in 2015. Tyler Gregory Okonma will be the first Californian rapper to headline in the UK.

Megan Thee Stallion (The Parklife Stage 8:15pm – 9:00pm) – This year’s long list of excitement brings American rapper Megan Thee Stallion to the main stage. After winning the Billboard awards 2022 Best Rap Female Artist Award just a few weeks ago, this female power boss is not one to miss.

Lewis Capaldi (The Parklife Stage 7:05pm – 7:45pm) – If you fancy a break from the dance tunes and want to get your love song on, chart topping Scottish heart throb and Brit winner Lewis Capaldi, is set to headline another festival this year at Parklife’s main stage.

Bicep (The Valley 9:45pm – 11:00pm) – This Belfast boy are celebrating their first headlining gig at the much-loved Valley stage. Although the boys have previously played at the festival before, they’re celebrating topping the bill this year for the first time.

Eric Prydz (The Hangar 9:30pm – 11:00pm) – Swedish DJ, performer and Producer Eric Prydz is set to play yet again at this yearly anticipated festival. With 4,586,061 monthly Spotify listeners, Prydz is another artist not to be missed.
