Bury town centre was buzzing this weekend as Comic Con returned with a packed day of cosplay, sci-fi, and family fun.

From dancing stormtroopers to selfie spots with Bumblebee from Transformers, thousands turned out to enjoy the 2025 Bury Comic Con. Boogie Storm were the clear fan favourite, pulling huge crowds at The Rock with their high-energy performance that got the whole town talking.

The event spread right across the town centre, from Mill Gate and Bury Art Museum to The Met and the Fusilier Museum, with plenty to see and do for fans of comics, gaming, films, and TV.

Cosplayers brought colour and character to the streets, with competitions at The Met showcasing some seriously impressive outfits. Meanwhile, local traders and artists filled venues with collectables, crafts, and pop culture goodies.

Visitors were encouraged to leave the car at home and take public transport via the Bee Network, with Bury Interchange just a short walk from the action. It’s all part of a push for a greener event, organisers said.

The Bury BID team, who helped make the day possible, thanked everyone involved in a heartfelt message on social media: “Pulling off a town-centre-wide event takes a village, and we’re beyond proud of what we created together.”

The day wrapped with smiles, selfies, and sore feet, a clear sign that Comic Con is now a major highlight on Bury’s events calendar.
