A group of Rochdale men climbed Snowdon nine times over three days to raise money for Jolly Josh.
The challenge was led by Greg Egan, Martin Stapleton and Kyle Banner, with support from others who joined them across the bank holiday weekend.
Taking on the Watkins Path each time, the group completed a total elevation gain equivalent to Mount Everest. The route is widely regarded as the most demanding way up Snowdon, with steep and exposed sections testing both physical endurance and mental resilience.
The organisers said the challenge was not about personal achievement but about raising money for children who rely on specialist support.

Funds raised will go towards a new sensory area at Jolly Josh, a Rochdale based charity supporting children and young people with complex medical needs and physical disabilities. The charity provides sessions designed to help children develop, relax and engage in a safe environment.
Many of the children who attend are visually impaired and benefit from sensory equipment that helps regulate their surroundings. The planned additions include sensory bubble tubes and specialist lighting designed to reduce anxiety, improve focus and support emotional wellbeing.
The charity said the equipment would play a key role in helping children feel calm and secure, while also supporting independence and development during sessions.
Jolly Josh operates as a self funded charity and relies on fundraising and community support to maintain its services. Demand for its provision remains high, with families across the borough accessing support for a range of complex needs.

The fundraising page describes the equipment as essential rather than optional, stating it will provide long term benefits for children who experience sensory processing difficulties and related conditions.
The JustGiving page had raised more than £5,000 at the time of publication, with the group continuing to work towards a £10,000 target.
