Rochdale Pride is making a vibrant return this Sunday, 22nd June, with a community celebration and colourful parade.

The free event will begin at 12.30pm outside Rochdale Town Hall, inviting residents, organisations and community groups to take part in the Pride Parade, which runs until 1.30pm. Participants are encouraged to bring progress flags, banners, and a spirit of solidarity to this inclusive occasion.

Following the parade, the celebration continues in the recently restored Great Hall, where attendees can enjoy speeches, entertainment, refreshments and activities until 4pm.

Organised by Rochdale Borough Council, this is the second annual Rochdale In Rainbows, Pride Parade and Celebration and part of the borough’s growing commitment to celebrating equality and diversity.

A council spokesperson said: “We're inviting everyone to be part of this joyful event. Whether you're walking in the parade, setting up a stall or just coming to support, everyone is welcome. Pride is about community, and Rochdale is proud to stand together.”

The event is open to all, with no booking required. Anyone interested in joining the parade or running a stall in the Great Hall should email rainbows@rochdale.gov.uk
