A new monthly artisan market has been launched in Middleton, bringing independent traders and handmade goods to the town centre on the last Sunday of each month.
The market is being organised by D&D Artisan Markets Ltd and will feature a range of independent stallholders offering handmade products, gifts and artisan goods.
It will take place during the last week of each month, with organisers aiming to create a regular event that supports small businesses and encourages more visitors into Middleton town centre.
The initiative is being delivered with support from Middleton town centre management and Rochdale Development Agency, with the wider aim of increasing footfall and supporting existing local businesses including shops and cafes.
Organisers say the market has been designed to showcase independent makers while providing a community focused event for residents and visitors.
A spokesperson for D&D Artisan Markets Ltd said “We’re passionate about supporting independent businesses and creating opportunities for talented artisans to showcase their work. This market is about bringing something special to the town centre while encouraging people to shop local.”
The market is expected to feature a varied selection of traders each month, with a focus on quality handmade goods and locally produced items.
