GMP officers from the Serious Organised Crime Group executed warrants at three addresses in Bury this morning.
In the early morning, just before 6am, GMP's Tactical Aid Unit (TAU), alongside colleagues from their County Lines team, struck at addresses on Old Hall Lane in Prestwich, Beeston Grove, and Roch Crescent in Whitefield - acting upon intelligence around the storage and preparation of Class A, B, and C drugs.
Having started the investigation last year, officers have spent a considerable amount of time gathering information that led to today's strike, Greater Manchester Police say.
A man in his thirties has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A and B drugs, and remains in custody for questioning.
Numerous seizures were made at the address, including MDMA, over 100 cannabis edibles (including cookies, chocolate bars, and fudge), cannabis vapes, ketamine, a Rolex watch, and THC oil.
In relation to the arrest and seizures this morning, Detective Constable O'Malley from Greater Manchester Police's Serious Organised Crime Group said: "This morning’s warrants are the result of months and months of dedicated investigative work following an investigation that began last year. We have worked tirelessly to gather intelligence and build a detailed picture of the suspected criminal activity linked to these addresses, allowing us to take decisive action today.
"Drug-related criminality causes significant harm to our communities, often fuelling violence, exploitation and anti-social behaviour. We know the devastating impact that drug dealing can have on neighbourhoods throughout the whole of Greater Manchester, and it is our job to make sure we are making a significant dent in organised crime groups.
"This arrest marks an important step in our investigation, but our work does not stop here. We are committed to acting on information and intelligence provided, especially any provided by the public. We encourage anyone with knowledge of criminal activity in their area to come forward.
