Stockport band Blossoms have announced their sixth studio album Songs From The Wedding Cake, set for release on 2nd October via ODD SK and Distiller Records. The announcement comes alongside new single Meet Me In Love and details of a UK arena tour in 2026.

The band, made up of Tom Ogden, Charlie Salt, Josh Dewhurst, Joe Donovan and Myles Kellock, have released Meet Me In Love as the latest track from the upcoming record. The single is accompanied by a video featuring Maya Jama and Callum Scott Howells, directed by Tom Ogden.

Songs From The Wedding Cake follows recent single Joke About Divorce and continues the themes of relationships and everyday life, paired with a sound drawing on disco, funk and indie influences. The album also features backing vocals from songwriter Declan McKenna on the track Additional Driver.

The record was produced by Shawn Lee at Tilehouse Studios and recorded to tape, with the band aiming for a warm, live sound.

Ogden has said the writing process included sessions in the Lake District where Meet Me In Love was developed from an early disco-style groove.

“Meet Me In Love” was written on a songwriting trip to the Lake District with Natalie Findlay and Jules Apollinaire. As often happens, it was the last day and we’d pretty much accepted that there probably weren’t any more songs left to write. We started messing around with a simple two chord disco groove and, within a couple of hours, the whole thing seemed to fall into place.

It’s one of those songs that felt exciting from the moment it arrived. I remember driving home from the Lakes listening to the demo on repeat for most of the journey. We later finished the recording with Shawn Lee at Tilehouse Studios, tracking live to tape, but a lot of what made us fall in love with the song in the first place came from that original demo, so plenty of those parts survived onto the final record.’

The accompanying video features a starring role from Maya Jama and arrives as the latest chapter in the visual world Blossoms are creating around ‘Songs From The Wedding Cake’."

Blossoms will mark the album release with a UK arena tour taking place in November and December 2026, joined by The Royston Club as special guests.

Tour dates include Cardiff Utilita Arena on 26th November, London Alexandra Palace on 27th November, Manchester Co op Live on 28th November, Birmingham Utilita Arena on 4th December and Glasgow OVO Hydro on 5th December.

Fans can access a pre sale by pre ordering the album, with tickets on sale to the public from 9.30am on Friday 26th June. The pre sale opens at 9.30am on Wednesday 24th June.
