A woman from Heywood has been banned from a local retail park for four years after being convicted of persistently urinating in public flower beds.
Greater Manchester Police have secured a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) against Janine Brannick, 44, of Queen Street, Heywood, following her conviction for repeated anti-social behaviour. The order, granted on Wednesday 15 May 2025, prohibits Brannick from entering Times Retail Park for the next four years.
The CBO was sought in response to multiple incidents in which Brannick was seen urinating in flower beds at the retail park. Her actions prompted complaints from members of the public and businesses in the area, leading to police intervention and a subsequent court case.
Rochdale Police (GMP), confirmed the successful order in a social media post less than 24 hours after the court’s decision.
Officers said the CBO was issued to prevent further incidents and to help protect the community and the reputation of the retail park, which attracts high footfall and includes several well known retail chains.
Criminal Behaviour Orders are typically used by courts to tackle persistent anti-social individuals where other interventions have failed. Breaching the order can result in arrest, a fine, or imprisonment.
