Two people have been taken to hospital following a collision in Rochdale.
Police were called to Heywood Old Road to reports of a collision between a cyclist and a pedestrian just after 11am this morning (Sunday)
The pedestrian, a 52-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with facial injuries and a suspected broken wrist.
Whilst, the cyclist, a 58-year-old man, has been taken to hospital with a hip injury.
Both remain in a stable condition, and no arrests have been made.
Enquiries are ongoing.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “At around 11.10am on Sunday 2 January 2022, police were called to reports of a collision on Heywood Old Road, Rochdale between a cyclist and a pedestrian.
“Emergency services attended.
“The pedestrian - a 52-year-old woman - was taken to hospital to be treated for facial injuries and a suspected broken wrist.
“The cyclist - a 58-year-old man - has been taken to hospital with a hip injury.
“Both remain in a stable condition.
“No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.”
The road was closed for around two hours between Blueball Lane & Ellis Lane.
Traffic is now flowing well in the area.
