Two men have been arrested following early morning police raids at homes and a business in Royton and Middleton as part of an investigation into a suspected organised crime group distributing class A drugs across the Oldham area.
Officers from Greater Manchester Police’s Challenger unit, supported by the Tactical Aid Unit, executed four simultaneous warrants on Thursday 18 December 2025. The operation targeted three residential properties and a business premises.
Two men in their 30s were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A substances. They remain in police custody for questioning.
During searches, police seized a significant quantity of cash and multiple mobile devices believed to be connected to the investigation. The operation forms part of a wider crackdown on organised criminal activity in the region.
Detective Sergeant Youngjohns, of GMP Oldham’s Challenger Unit, urged the public to come forward with any information about suspected criminal activity in their community.
“We are here to protect our communities from organised criminality and the harms that come along with it,” she said.
“We rely on communities to reach out to us with information if they suspect illicit activity in their area, and we will act on it accordingly.”
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police on 101 or via the Live Chat function on the GMP website. Reports can also be made anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
