A second man has been arrested as part of an investigation into an incident in Whitefield last week.
Greater Manchester Police said officers from its Serious Crime Division arrested a 40 year old man in Radcliffe on Tuesday 26th May.
The man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A and Class B drugs, and possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Police confirmed a 20 year old man who was arrested on Friday 22nd May on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs remains in hospital.
The force said enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Superintendent Joe Harrop, who leads GMP’s response to serious and organised crime, said: “Our investigation is progressing at pace, and we have now made a second arrest in relation to the incident on Friday.
“We will continue to target those involved in serious and organised crime to keep our communities safe across the whole of Greater Manchester.”
