Police are appealing for information following the death of a man in Bury after being struck by a car. A suspect, Tino Williams, is now wanted in connection with the incident.
A manhunt is under way to trace 23 year old Tino Williams, who is wanted by Greater Manchester Police in connection with a murder investigation after a fatal crash in Bury last Monday night.
Officers were called to Porritt Street at around 8.10pm on Monday 19 May 2025 following reports that a man had been struck by a vehicle. Despite the best efforts of emergency services at the scene, the victim, Brandon Porter Kershaw, sadly died from his injuries.
Brandon, 19, has been described by his family as a “gentle and kind-hearted young man” and a “devoted dad” whose sudden loss has left a deep void in their lives.
Detectives have now named Tino Williams, born 10 April 2002, as a person wanted in connection with the investigation. CCTV images have been released showing Williams wearing grey shorts and a dark puffa coat.
Police are urging the public not to approach him, but to call 999 immediately if he is seen. Alternatively, anyone with information about his whereabouts can call 0161 856 0110 or share details online via the Major Incident Public Portal.
Those wishing to remain anonymous can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
The area around Porritt Street remained cordoned off last week as forensic teams examined the scene. Floral tributes and messages have been left by friends and loved ones at the location.
