A man has been arrested and suspected drugs and high-value items seized in Rochdale following a warrant targeting serious criminal activity.
Police arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of drug supply and money laundering offences after executing a warrant at a property on Digby Road.
The warrant, carried out on Friday, formed part of an ongoing investigation by the Rochdale Challenger Team, focusing on the supply of Class A and B drugs and breaches of the Proceeds of Crime Act.
During the operation, officers seized a number of items, including suspected controlled substances and expensive goods thought to be linked to illegal activity.
The arrested man has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
Detective Inspector Dan Daly, from Greater Manchester Police's Rochdale Challenger Team, confirmed that the search had led to the recovery of drugs and valuable assets, he said:
“The warrant this afternoon has resulted in the arrest of one man and the recovery of Class A and B drugs, alongside high-value goods.
“We will pursue every line of enquiry vigorously and relentlessly. Our message to drug dealers and those involved in related criminal activity is clear – we will not stop until we get these offenders off our streets and into our custody cells where they belong.”
Programme Challenger is a joint initiative involving GMP and various partner agencies to tackle serious and organised crime across Greater Manchester. The programme targets criminal networks involved in drug trafficking, firearms offences, exploitation, and money laundering.
Residents concerned about criminal activity in their community are encouraged to report information by calling 101 or using the Greater Manchester Police online reporting.
