Bury’s Mill Gate Shopping Centre has won a prestigious community award for a second successive year.
Last year the retail centre won gold in the Community Commitment category at the International Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Excellence Awards and they will attend the 2024 ceremony again this summer.
Angela Tierney, centre manager, said: “Receiving the gold award in the Community Commitment category last year was a tremendous honour for us and to have won another award so soon after that one is absolutely incredible. It is a recognition of the efforts of our dedicated team, the partnerships we have formed with local organisations, and the support we receive from the vibrant community of Bury. We take great pride in the work we do here.”
Mill Gate Shopping Centre received recognition in 2023 for its exceptional commitment to prioritising the customers and the local community. It has now been invited to this year’s awards event which rewards organisations that are at the forefront of Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) practices. It will be held at St Paul’s Cathedral in London, on July 1.
