Rochdale Masters men and women represent club together at National Masters Festival

Rochdale Masters’ men’s and women’s teams represented the club together at the National Masters Rugby League Festival for the first time on Saturday.

The event was held at Stanley Park in Blackpool.

The appearance was the first time Rochdale Masters had taken both its men’s and women’s sections to the national festival together.

Rochdale Masters’ men’s section was established in 2021 and has since been joined by a women’s section.

The National Masters Rugby League Festival brings together Masters players and clubs from across the country. Last year’s event attracted 565 players representing 49 clubs.

Masters Rugby League is focused on participation rather than results and scorelines.

The Rochdale club is open to men aged 35 and over and women aged 30 and over, including people who have not previously played rugby league.

Anyone interested in joining can contact members@rochdalemayfield.com.
