It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ged Rose, a friend, radio presenter, and member of our local community in Heywood on Monday 3rd July 2023.
Ged's warm and kind personality touched the lives of many, both on and off the airwaves.
Ged's passion for radio was evident in the way he connected with his listeners. He had a talent for making everyone feel welcome and heard, and always put a smile on your face. His shows were always filled with laughter and great music. He volunteered with both Roch Valley Radio and BBC Radio Manchester for many years until recently when he became ill.
Ged was a true gem, always bringing joy to those around him with his infectious smile and witty personality.
Ged's passing has left a deep void in the hearts of those who knew him. We extend our deepest sympathies to Ged's family and friends during this difficult time.
