Two free courses offering sports leadership and community training will take place in Rochdale this summer, aimed at those aged 16 and over who want to boost their CVs and gain practical experience in the community sector.
Organised by Your Trust Rochdale, the Sport and Leisure Career Course is designed to help participants develop creative ideas for delivering sessions to children, young people, and adults across local communities.

Four-day course

Five-day course
📅 Monday 9 – Friday 13 June 2025
🕥 10.30am – 3.30pm
📍 Milnrow Youth Centre, Hollingworth Academy, Cornfield Street, Milnrow, OL16 3DR
Each course is free to attend and includes a range of qualifications and development opportunities:

Community Sports Leaders Level 2 Award

Disability Awareness in Sport Certificate

Emergency First Aid Training and Certificate

Volunteer placement opportunities within the community

Effective leadership skills training
The sessions are open to anyone aged 16 and above, with no prior qualifications required. They are particularly suitable for those interested in youth work, coaching, health and wellbeing, or community development.
