A manhunt, vehicle chase and property search have led to a major drugs bust in Rochdale, with class A and class B drugs worth £200,000 taken off the streets.
Police have seized hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of illegal drugs after a suspected County Lines vehicle stop in Rochdale.
At around 6:40pm on Saturday 4 October, officers on patrol spotted a car driving suspiciously. It is believed the driver attempted to flee police by abandoning the vehicle, discarding suspected drugs, and concealing mobile phones beneath the car before running off.
A short time later, officers searched a connected address, where they uncovered a substantial haul of class A and class B drugs. The total street value of the drugs is estimated to be around £200,000.
Police also recovered approximately £20,000 in cash and multiple drug-related items, which are now being processed as evidence.
As part of the ongoing investigation, Greater Manchester Police confirmed that two men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs.
All three remain in custody for questioning.
The operation forms part of GMP’s wider crackdown on County Lines drug trafficking, where organised crime groups exploit vulnerable individuals and use mobile phone lines to supply drugs across different areas.
