Firefighters spent over three hours at the scene of a commercial building fire on Rooley Moor Road in Rochdale on Thursday evening.
Emergency services were called out shortly after 5.15pm on 1 January to reports of a fire at a business premises. Fire engines from Rochdale and Heywood stations responded to the incident.
Crews quickly arrived at the scene and used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to bring the blaze under control. The fire was extinguished, and firefighters remained on site for approximately three and a half hours to make the area safe.
There were no reports of injuries, and the cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said:
“Crews arrived quickly and used breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. Firefighters made the area safe before departing.”
