A 34-year-old man has been taken to hospital following an incident in Radcliffe.
The male, who has been described as "seriously injured" by Greater Manchester Police, was outside a premises on Water Street.
A large emergency service presence was in attendance including an air ambulance.
Water Street remains closed as an investigation is launched.
Police believe it's an isolated incident.
A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 11:30am today (15/10/2023) Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of a man seriously injured outside a premises on Water Street in Radcliffe.
"Officers and paramedics attended, and a 34 year old man was taken to hospital.
"Water Street is currently closed as an investigation is underway to understand the circumstances that led to this man’s injuries.
"Initial enquiries point to this being an isolated incident, with no threat to the wider public."
Traffic disruption is expected in the area is police continue their work at the scene.
