A 14-year-old boy has been rescued from the water at Burrs Country Park.
Emergency services were called to the scene in the Brandlesholme area of Bury at around 6pm this evening.
The fire service used a rescue sled and a stretcher to rescue the teen before he was taken to hospital.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Just before 6pm this evening (Sunday 4th June), one fire engine from Ramsbottom fire station along with the Technical Response Unit from Ashton were called to reports of a person falling in the water at Burrs Country Park.
“Crews arrived quickly at scene. Firefighters wearing dry suits used a rescue sled and stretcher to rescue a 14-year-old boy from the water. Firefighters treated the boy at the scene before he was taken to hospital by colleagues from North West Ambulance Service.
Firefighters were in attendance for around an hour and a half.”
