Thousands of people headed to the polls yesterday for this year’s local council elections.
Results are due to be declared across Bury & Rochdale this afternoon.
Both areas have a Labour majority of 23 seats in Bury & 17 seats in Rochdale.
One-third of councillors in both areas are being elected, with 17 seats up for grabs in Bury and 20 in Rochdale.
The counts will be underway this morning, with result declarations expected from mid-afternoon.
