After winning the toss and choosing to bat, Rochdale built an imposing total of 310 for four from their 50 overs.

Ali Muzaffar gave the innings a solid start with 41 before Imran Rafiq took control, making 123 from 132 balls with 17 fours and one six.

Tom Gilbertson then accelerated the scoring in the closing overs with an unbeaten 123 from just 85 deliveries, striking 16 fours and four sixes. Haroon Kashmiri finished unbeaten on seven as Rochdale set Middleton a revised target of 311.
