Two teenagers have been arrested following a series of burglaries in Bury.
The males aged 16 and 19 were arrested earlier today and remain in custody for questioning on suspicion of burglary and attempted burglary.
Police received reports of burglaries and cars being interfered with at a number of addresses in the Elton area including Belmont Drive, Knight Street, Kingsley Street, Harwood Drive and Wingate Avenue on Monday (27th December)
Detective Chief Inspector Joanne Kay, of GMP's Bury district, said: "CCTV was obtained of two males systematically trying car and house doors.
"As a result, officers in plain clothes were deployed to the area and two suspects swiftly arrested.
"Several items - including jewellery and a scooter - have also recovered."
