Three people have been arrested and more than £150,000 worth of drugs seized after officers stopped a vehicle on Bolton Road in Rochdale.
Greater Manchester Police said officers were called shortly before 11.30am on Tuesday 17 February 2026 following reports of dangerous driving.
A Range Rover was stopped by officers and searched. Police said 5kg of Class A drugs were recovered from the driver and the vehicle.
A 45 year old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs and driving whilst unfit through drugs. He remains in custody for questioning.
Officers later searched an address linked to the suspect where a further 5kg of Class A drugs and a quantity of Class B drugs were seized.
Two further arrests were made at the property. A 20 year old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs. A 44 year old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs. Both have since been bailed pending further investigation.
Detective Sergeant Niamh McCarthy, of GMP’s Bury CID, said,
“This incident shows that our officers have a no tolerance approach when it comes to offenders who look to distribute drugs on our streets. Thanks to the proactive work of our officers, over 10kg of class A and a substantial quantity of class B drugs have been stopped from being distributed in our community.
“We are committed to tackling the supply of drugs across Greater Manchester. Every arrest and recovery of drugs is a step towards disrupting wider organised criminality.
