Two more acts have been confirmed for Rochdale Feel Good Festival, with The Allergies and Alex Spencer set to perform on Saturday 8 August. They join previously announced headliners Gabrielle, Ash and Starsailor.
The Allergies, fronted by DJ duo Moneyshot and Rackabeat, have built a following since releasing their debut album in 2016. Known for blending funk, soul sampling and hip hop, the group have released tracks including God Walked Down, Every Trick In The Book, Since You’ve Been Gone and Felony. They are due to release a new album, Beneath This Sun, this year and will bring their full live band to Rochdale.
Alex Spencer, a 19 year old indie artist from Manchester, has developed his career after starting out busking. He has received support from BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, BBC Introducing and Radio X. His single Nightmares featured on the EA SPORTS FC25 soundtrack, and he has supported Louis Tomlinson on a European arena tour. Following his EP Where Do We Go From Here, he has released new tracks including Masks and Farewell to Forever ahead of a forthcoming EP. His 2026 headline tour sold out, including a show at Manchester Academy 2.
The acts will perform as part of the main stage programme in Rochdale town centre, alongside live music across indoor venues, a food and drink village and additional entertainment.
Pete Courtie, head of culture and placemaking, said, “We’re shining the light on a very exciting rising talent with Alex Spencer on our main stage this year and I know The Allergies live shows are incredible, full of feel-good energy, so a perfect fit, they’ll certainly get everyone up and dancing! Alongside our headline acts it’s going to be one amazing day and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back this summer.”
Discounted tickets priced at £30 plus a 7.5 per cent booking fee remain available, with VIP upgrade packages also on sale.
A separate event will take place on Friday 7 August, with Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark performing in Rochdale Town Hall Square alongside Peter Hook and The Light and A Certain Ratio.
The festival is organised by Rochdale Development Agency on behalf of Rochdale Borough Council and is supported by local sponsors including The Royal Toby Hotel.
