Greater Manchester Police have launched an investigation after an 18-year-old was taken to hospital with stab wounds following a serious incident on Long Street
An 18-year-old male is recovering in hospital after being found with stab wounds in Middleton town centre on Thursday night.
Emergency services were called to Long Street, near the Harbord Harbord pub, shortly after 8.20pm on 28 August following reports of an injured man.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed the teenager later made his own way to hospital, where he was treated for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
A section of the pavement outside the pub was cordoned off by officers, with an investigation now underway to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
At this stage, it is not clear how the young man sustained the wounds. Police said they are carrying out CCTV enquiries in the area and appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
