Street Eat returns to Rochdale Town Hall Square this June

Street Eat will be serving up more food, drinks and entertainment on Saturday 28 June

Free family-friendly food festival set to serve up local flavours, live bands and children’s entertainment

Rochdale’s popular food and drink festival Street Eat is back on Saturday 28 June, promising a day of tasty treats, live music and free family fun in the heart of the town centre.

Held in the newly revamped Town Hall Square, the event brings together local bars, cafes and restaurants all serving up a wide range of food and drinks, with something for every taste.

Organised by Rochdale Business Improvement District (BID), Street Eat will run from 11am to 7pm and entry is free.

This year’s confirmed traders include returning favourites and new names such as The Flying Horse Hotel, Brew Box (waffles), The Baum, Daniela’s Ice Cream, and prosecco bar Sip and Sparkle. Other stalls include:

  • Vicolo del Vino (pizza)
  • Betty and Co Hot Dogs
  • Mason’s Cookies
  • Our Gracie’s
  • The Treehouse Bar
  • Bank Top Farm (burgers)
  • The Traditional Tuck Shop
  • Cake Loves Cakes
  • Free rides, face painting and live music

There’ll be free rides and activities for children, including Punch and Judy shows, face painting and a caricaturist drawing personal portraits.

Live music will be hosted by presenter Di Lynham. Acts on the main stage include:

  • Country rock band Between The Vines
  • Acoustic duo Shenanigans
  • Pop soloist Saskia Starkie
  • Performances by Turners Dance School
  • Celebrating community and local businesses

Paul Ambrose, BID manager, said: “Street Eat is all about celebrating Rochdale’s food and drink scene while offering a fun, affordable day out for everyone. From live music to children’s rides – it’s all free to enjoy, and we hope to see the square buzzing with visitors again.”

Councillor Sue Smith, cabinet member for communities and co-operation at Rochdale Borough Council, added: “It’s brilliant to see Street Eat return during our year as Greater Manchester Town of Culture. Events like this bring people together, support our local traders, and show just how much Rochdale has to offer.”
