Couples planning to tie the knot will be heading to Rochdale Wedding Show this spring when the event returns on Sunday 10 April.
For 2022 the popular show moves to Number One Riverside, while its usual home - Rochdale Town Hall remains closed for major restoration.
Organisers Rochdale Borough Council are planning another strong line-up, bringing creative, stylish and inspiring suppliers to the building located by the River Roch, alongside breath-taking catwalk shows, live music and more. You’ll also be able to take a tour around the modern new accommodation inside Rochdale Register Office which includes a 70 seat ceremony room - the Red Rose Suite which holds marriage and civil partnership ceremonies. Outside there’ll be a collection of contemporary wedding cars as well as a few surprises. You’ll be able to enjoy prosecco and cake while you contemplate your options and the show is opposite Rochdale Riverside – the new shopping and leisure destination so you’ll certainly have lots to see and do!
Last year the show, which was hosted at the Mercure Norton Grange Hotel and Spa saw over 400 people through the doors looking for inspiration for their big day, with local companies exhibiting the latest collections and trends in bridal wear, formal menswear and everything in between - from flowers and classic cars, to photography, venue dressing, catering, cakes, entertainment, makeup, jewellery and decorations.
Councillor Sue Smith, cabinet member for communities and co-operation at Rochdale Borough Council, said after the past two years of restricted celebrations, weddings are back: “While the town hall restoration continues, Rochdale Wedding Show moves to another of the borough’s flagship buildings, which as well as being a fabulous events space is also the home of Rochdale Register Office. Rochdale Wedding Show is always the ultimate afternoon out for anyone looking to peruse their options ahead of the big day - especially if they’re looking for something a little different. It will be another fabulous showcase for superb local companies. Whether you are in the early stages of planning or months away from your big day this is a must attend event to get ideas and inspiration to plan your dream event, meeting the experts and relaxing with friends and family.”
The event is completely free and there's no need to book tickets - just turn up and browse at your leisure.
