Last minute preparations are under way for Rochdale Wedding Show, set to return to Rochdale Town Hall on Sunday (2 March.)
Doors open at 11am and the show runs until 4pm with organisers Rochdale Borough Council bringing around 30 stylish and inspiring suppliers together alongside food and drink, tours and music.
Hundreds of visitors from across Greater Manchester and beyond are expected to descend on the famous venue, looking for inspiration for their perfect day with companies exhibiting the latest collections and trends in bridal wear, formal menswear and everything in between - from flowers and classic cars, to photography, venue dressing, catering, cake design, entertainment, makeup, jewellery, decorations and more
Whether you're looking for something traditional, a more contemporary theme or a civil ceremony, they will help you put together your perfect day. You’ll also be able to take a tour around the modern accommodation inside the nearby Rochdale Register Office which includes a 70-seat ceremony room which holds marriage and civil partnership ceremonies.
If you’re considering getting married at the town hall itself, you can get a preview of a new private space to freshen up and enjoy ‘time-out’ during the big day. The Wedding Dressing Room includes stylish dressing tables and spotlight mirrors.
A complimentary glass of fizz will be served to guests on arrival and in between wedding planning visitors are welcome to try the new critically-acclaimed Martlet Kitchen restaurant. Hot food will be served all day but booking is advised. The new Zodiac bar on the first-floor bar will also be open for love themed cocktails including ‘Passion Fizz’, ‘Blushed and Frisky’ and ‘Love Bite’ plus other drinks and snacks.
Councillor Sue Smith, cabinet member for communities and co-operation at Rochdale Borough Council, said: “In the magnificent setting of Rochdale Town Hall this show is a fantastic experience that offers a chance to see, touch and experience products and services first hand which should really help with your decision making process, especially if you’re looking for something a little different. This will be an inspiring event that will help make your wedding planning journey as relaxing as possible.”
The show is free and there is no need to book tickets.
