Rochdale based care provider Rochcare has been named the fastest growing small business in the North West, after topping this year’s Ward Hadaway Fastest 50 list.
Rochcare, which delivers residential, dementia and supported living services, received the top accolade at the 2025 Ward Hadaway North West Fastest 50 Awards, held in association with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.
The awards, which celebrate the region’s most successful businesses, assess companies based on sustained turnover growth over the last three years. Financial data from Companies House is used to verify results, with Rochcare outperforming dozens of other shortlisted businesses.
CEO Athar Mahmood said the award reflects the work and passion of Rochcare staff: “We’re incredibly proud to be recognised for our growth, especially in a sector where making a difference in people’s lives is at the heart of everything we do. This achievement reflects the dedication of our amazing staff, and we’re excited for what’s ahead.”
Ward Hadaway partner and awards host Liz Bottrill praised the care provider’s trajectory: “Their impressive growth over the past three years is a clear indication of their innovation and hard work.”
The 2025 Fastest 50 list includes a diverse range of companies from across Greater Manchester and the wider region. Organisers said Rochcare’s consistent expansion highlights how businesses in traditional sectors like health and social care can still thrive through innovation and people-focused strategies.
Rochcare’s approach is rooted in person-centred care, which has seen the company expand its footprint and invest in forward-thinking care models.
The recognition adds to Rochdale’s growing reputation as a hub for ethical and innovative business. The borough has seen several local firms celebrate milestones and growth in recent months.
