Residents in Burnedge Rochdale, are preparing themselves for yet another festive lights display this December, hoping to raise £3,000 for Springhill Hospice.
This tradition has now entered its 25th year, and residents are hoping they can beat last years fundraiser of £2,400.
Resident of Wrenbury Drive, Rochdale, Peter Marr explained "Myself and other residents have been lighting up the area for quite a few years. It became so popular, we had to sponsor our local charity- Springhill Hospice a few years ago."
"The avenue was so busy, and the display was spectacular."
And its not just the residents who are excited.
The nearby Spring Inn pub will be contributing this year. Hosting a Christmas market with a live brass band, this pub is also hopeful they can contribute tremendously towards the great cause.
Springhill Hospice provides vital care for those with life- limiting illnesses. They work tirelessly providing emotional support alongside practical advice amongst the challenging times.
The big switch on will be held at 5pm on Saturday 7th December, Wrenbury Drive, Rochdale OL16 4TJ. A real festive treat for your family to enjoy.
