A spooky welcome awaits visitors to Mill Gate Shopping Centre this October when the Bury venue hosts a free Halloween event.
The centre is rolling out the orange carpet for a Halloween half-term and a spook-tastic weekend that's perfect for the whole family.
Angela Tierney, shopping centre manager, said: “There will be something of a pumpkin takeover which is designed to put a smile on our customers’ faces, rather than scare them away!”
The pumpkin-filled extravaganza that’ll delight rather than fright, will kick off on Monday, October 23 with a Halloween trail. Visitors can discover ten letters hidden throughout the shopping centre, which will reveal a secret word.
Taking the secret word to customer services will win an instant treat, plus entering it online will give one lucky winner the chance to win an exciting Halloween bundle!
There will be selfie opportunities galore on Friday, October 27th, when visitors will stumble upon the pop-up pumpkin patch boasting five rows of straw furrows adorned with vibrant pumpkins.
Whisper the trail secret word to the friendly Scarecrow guarding the entrance and you'll gain free access to the patch, where a themed cart waits for selfies amidst hay bales, pumpkins, spiders and their eerie webs.
Don't miss the chance for a family photo opportunity with a giant six-foot pumpkin face-in-the-hole! While supplies last, you can even take a pumpkin home to carve in preparation for Halloween weekend.
On Saturday, October 28th (11am-3pm), there will be pumpkin head characters wandering the shopping centre to meet and greet shoppers, giving visitors the final opportunity to enter the Halloween trail and soak in the Halloween spirit!
Mill Gate Shopping Centre welcomes you from 9am to 5.30pm every day, except Sundays (10.30am-4.30pm). Mark your calendars for this spooktacular event that's bound to put a smile on your face. Come for the pumpkins, stay for the fun!
