Police are investigating damage to a house in Prestwich tonight.
Officers were called to the scene on Heys Road at around 2pm this afternoon.
A cordon is in place between Merton Road to Holyrood Road.
An investigation is currently underway, including officers from the specialist search unit.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 2pm today (Tuesday 22 November 2022), Greater Manchester Police responded to a report of damage at an address on Heys Road, Prestwich in Bury.
"An active investigation is now underway into the incident to understand the full circumstances.
"People in the local area are advised to avoid the vicinity if possible as road closures are still in place and will impact traffic and travel.
"Anyone with any information that may help officers are asked to call 101 quoting incident 1629 of 22/11/22 or through the LiveChat function at gmp.police.uk
"Alternatively, details can be passed on anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
Police have also been seen on nearby Harlech Avenue this evening, the scene is now clear. No further details have been released.
