Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault of a man in Rochdale

Greater Manchester Police are appealing for information following a report of an assault on Pilsworth Road in Heywood, Rochdale, on Friday 28 April 2023 at around 5.25pm.

From initial enquiries, it was established that following a road traffic collision between two cars, the two drivers from the cars in question became engaged in an altercation.

This led to the driver of one vehicle being assaulted where he subsequently suffered serious injuries which they needed further medical treatment for.

Officers investigating this incident have followed up on a number of lines of enquiry and are now in a position to ask for the public's assistance.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have been at the scene of the incident or who may have any dashcam footage of the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call Rochdale Police Station on 0161 856 8415 quoting crime number CRI/06PP/0010476/23.

Alternatively, you can report information anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
