Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery in Bury

Bury's Neighbourhood Crime Team are investigating an attempted robbery on Sunday 28th May between 1pm & 1:30pm on Brierley Street.

The suspect described as wearing a blue tracksuit and a full balaclava, was seen by witnesses running from Back Brierley Street and turning right onto Gigg Lane.

A GMP Bury North spokesperson said: "We would like to ask anybody who may have been travelling through the Gigg Lane and Manchester Road area at around 13:30 on the 28th May to check their dash cam footage to see if this suspect is captured.

"Please can any footage be emailed directly to the investigating officer at 18009@gmp.police.uk or contact us on 0161 856 8222."
