Olives Kitchen and the team at The Fusiliers Museum faced an unexpected challenge over the weekend: a large flood due to ongoing building roof repair work.
This unforeseen event led to a temporary closure of the building, causing them to miss out on the surge of customers from Bury Comic Con on Sunday. But in a turn of resilience, Olives Kitchen has announced they are back open and fully operational, ready to serve the community with their amazing food.
The café's temporary closure during one of Bury's significant new events left many patrons heartbroken.
"I had planned to grab my favourite latte and breakfast from Olives after attending the Comic Con," shared a member of the public. "It was disappointing to see them closed, especially knowing the potential business they missed during such a big event."
Olives Kitchen have posted on their social media platforms today:
" Thank you to everyone for your kind words and support over the past week, it's been challenging, to say the least, but we are through the other side!
The good news is that the leaks are fixed, and the cafe is dry. No tricks, just treats, why not indulge with a Spiced Pumpkin Latte or our delicious Sticky Chocolate Orange Cake”
