A Rochdale wedding coordinator has been crowned the best in the region at the 15th annual North West Wedding Awards.
Charlotte Whittaker, wedding coordinator at the Mercure Norton Grange Hotel and Spa, took home the title of Best Wedding Co-ordinator 2025, beating competition from across the North West.
The award was announced at an Awards Ceremony organised by County Brides. The event, now in its 15th year, is one of the most prestigious celebrations of the wedding industry, with over 17,500 verified votes cast and more than 3,000 suppliers nominated.
Charlotte’s win highlights her reputation for creating unforgettable wedding experiences at the Norton Grange, a venue well known locally for its elegant settings and attentive service.
A spokesperson for the hotel said they were “thrilled” with her success:
“This honour highlights Charlotte’s commitment to creating memorable experiences for couples on their special day. We are proud to celebrate this achievement and continue delivering outstanding service to our clients.”

The evening itself carried a ‘Summer’ theme, designed by Willow & Fig, and included dinner, entertainment and fundraising activities. The event also raised £4,378.17, including Gift Aid, for Destination Florida Children’s Charity, which provides holidays of a lifetime for seriously ill children.
County Brides director Duane Thornborough said the awards reflected the passion and hard work of wedding professionals across the region. “We are overwhelmed by the support of couples voting for their venues and suppliers,” he said. “It was a night of joy and camaraderie, and we are proud to have helped send another child on a holiday of a lifetime.”
The Mercure Norton Grange team say Charlotte’s award is a boost not just for the hotel but for Rochdale’s reputation as a wedding destination.
