A man in his 60s has died following a multi-vehicle collision on the M60, with two drivers arrested at the scene
A motorcyclist has died after a serious crash involving three cars on the M60 near Salford, prompting a police appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage.
The fatal incident occurred at around 6.15pm on Sunday 12 October 2025 on the clockwise carriageway between junctions 15 and 16. Greater Manchester Police confirmed that the motorcyclist, a man believed to be in his 60s, was pronounced dead after suffering fatal injuries.
Two of the three car drivers involved were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. They remain in custody as officers continue to investigate the circumstances.
Specialist officers from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are urging anyone who may have seen the crash or captured footage from the area to come forward. In particular, police are seeking dashcam recordings from before, during, or after the incident.
