A man and woman were threatened by four masked men, one armed with a knife, during an aggravated burglary on Todmorden Road in Littleborough.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a couple were targeted by a gang of masked men in a violent burglary on Todmorden Road, Littleborough, in the early hours of Sunday 2 November.
Greater Manchester Police said four masked men approached a woman and a man outside a property at around 6am. The pair were grabbed and threatened, with one of the suspects reported to be carrying a knife. The woman had her phone and keys taken before the group fled the scene.
Although the men are thought to have escaped on foot, detectives believe they likely used a vehicle to leave the area.
The gang have been described as follows:
-
One man is white, aged 35 to 40, with a skinny build, around 5ft 10in tall, bald with blue eyes, light stubble, and wearing a thin Berghaus puffer jacket.
-
Another is described as of mixed ethnic background, wearing a dark hooded jacket, baggy trousers and a face covering.
-
The other two were wearing masks and coats, with one described as black and the other of large build.
Officers are especially keen to speak to a potential witness, a man wearing high-visibility clothing who was seen driving a blue Jaguar near the time and location of the incident.
Detective Constable Connel Cunningham from GMP’s Rochdale district said:
“This was a terrifying experience for both the man and woman involved, and we are undertaking extensive enquiries to establish the full facts of what happened.
“No one should be subjected to such a crime, and tackling burglaries and knife crime is a top force priority across GMP.”
